Umbria

Umbria is a region in central Italy, south of Tuscany and North of Lazio, the region containing Rome. Known as the 'Green Heart of Italy' Umbria provides much of the charms of the rolling hills of Tuscany with the addition of many beautiful lakes which help add to any holiday experience in Italy.

Perugia

The capital city of the italian region of Umbria is Perugia. It attratcs many people who are on holiday in Umbria with its attractions such as the Cathedral of S. Lorenzo, the Palazzo dei Priori (Town Hall), Fontana Maggiore - a medieval fountain and the National Museum of Umbrian Archaeology.

Assisi

Also in the Purugia province of Umbria, Assisi is a town on the slopes of Monte Subasio dominated by two medieval castles. Other attractions for holiday makers are the churches of St. Francis and St. Clare and the Cathedral which is dedicated to St. Rufino.

Todi

Overlooking the east bank of the Tiber, Todi's main attraction is it's main square which provides a vista point for it's most impressive medieval buildings - the Cathedral , the Palazzo del Capitano, the Palazzo del Priore and the Palazzo del Popolo. The piazza is therefore attributed as one of the finest in Italy.

Lake Trasimeno

Lake Trasimeno is the largest lake in Umbria and the largest lake on the peninsula of Italy (not including the Alps region), just slightly smaller than Lake Como in Northern Italy. As well as its wonderful views the lake offers attractions for the more active person on holiday in Umbria with its Sailing, Water Skiing and Wind Surfing.
